A NEW DAWN IN SCOTLAND - INTRODUCING NEW SCOTTISH LIFESTYLE BRAND, BORTHWICK & FORREST
The founders of new Scottish lifestyle brand Borthwick & Forrest are determined to show the rest of the world a piece of Scotland they adore and this brand is looking forward to a modern Scotland, not looking back. Provenance is the key they will unlock from the beginning and you are all invited to the rural life club. The home of the brand is Stirlingshire, the very beating heart of Scotland and positioned in between Edinburgh and Glasgow with stunning Loch Lomond on its doorstep. Nature’s playground with a compelling feeling to relax and take a moment - a slow style brand movement has begun.
This shire looks sleepy with its rolling hills and villages but don’t be fooled. Beneath the skyline lies people who have settled there for one reason or another who continue to drive their careers, travels and family matters high on energy and entrepreneurism with a thirst for the good life. You have to think outside of the box if you want to find your version of success in these shires.
Founders Andrew and Diane take their combined family values and work influences into a new world filled with real lifestyle players of the shire - welcome Borthwick & Forrest, a new brand on a mission to showcase Scottish garment craftsmanship at its best. Following a two year investment into the Scottish garment manufacturing community the duo has forged a manufacturing partnership that will ensure the collection is made on home soil. They are passionate about supporting the onshore textile industry and keeping their carbon footprint to a minimum.
IT’S A RURAL WAY OF LIFE (Launch campaign - *request images)
The brand’s first campaign, 'It's a rural way of life' features locals on location at the Old Mill Restaurant & Pub, Killearn. The collection of menswear, womenswear & accessories starts with the Dunmore Barn coat - a classic style crafted in Scotland using premium sanded twill with corduroy trims. Wear it with the Dundee sourced waxed cotton Kirkmill Liner vest depending on the temperature outside. Good all year round classic styles, proudly Made in Scotland.
Quilted styles will feature early into the new year as seasonal weather changes are addressed. The Strathview Quilted vest provides that extra layer of warmth. Natural wool accessories add colour to the collection sourced from the finest Scottish mills. The bag collection in premium waxed cotton kicks off the season with the Balgair Weekender bag, perfect for weekend getaways. Storytelling graphics will feature throughout the season with a nod to our ‘rural life club’ direction with the entire collection portraying a truly aspirational lifestyle. The collection is 100% made on UK shores and it is that craftsmanship we will share to our community of Global Scots and rural lifestyle appreciators.
The brand will launch online at borthwickandforrest.com and from its first bricks and mortar store nestled away in the village of Balfron - the site of the village's original fire station - 800 sq ft of space dedicated to their first clubhouse. Their Barista will serve a freshly made coffee while you view the collection. The team look forward to welcoming you to a new rural way of living with Borthwick & Forrest.
